In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the official release, "A strange encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
